Site design is the most important element of creating an online store. The design of the site is what actually brings the visitors in and keeps them there. A major aspect of site design is the navigation. If the navigation of your store is not user friendly – the visitor will leave quickly. If difficult to read, or the colors are not appealing to the user – they may also leave. A good, clean, and simple site allows the user to navigate easily, and find the information that they desire.

1. Online Quote Request

We review the information on your online quote request and then email you with any additional questions we might have. This may be followed by a telephone consultation. The consultation will be used as an exchange of information, to answer any questions you may have and help you decide if you want to move on to the next step. It is free and without any obligation.

2. Project Bid

We will provide your our bid for the project including the estimated time line to complete the project. If you agree to our fees, Studio57Designs.com will begin gathering more detailed project information by ticketing system or email.

3. Initial Payment Due

Studio57Designs.com will invoice you for 50% of the total project cost. Making this payment actually locks your position in our development schedule. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) through our secured server environment or you can opt to pay by PayPal.

4. Content Gathering

Text and graphic content must be gathered before most work can begin on the site. We will assist you in pulling together the text, logo, graphics, and photographs needed for the site, but it’s important to be aware that a web site project does require work on your part.

5. Site Design

Next, we begin working on a site design consisting of the home page, the products listing page, and the product detail page. The mock-up is based on the needs and preferences you have provided us. The front page is the basis of the other two pages and the page that takes the most time to develop. Revisions will be made to your satisfaction on the three pages. Once the design has been approved, we will code the design into an X-Cart skin. Once the “skin” is ready for your review we will provide a private location on our server where you can view it “live”. You will be able to test and review the navigation scheme, layout and the overall look of your site. Your feedback is solicited and encouraged, and is used to make any necessary changes. Once more, your feedback is used to make any last changes until you are 100% satisfied with the design.

6. Balance Due Payment

Final payment is due and payable at this time. The site is then uploaded to your server. We will work with you to complete any module installations, tweaks and changes that you require. Any errors or functionality problems will be fixed at no cost.

7. Store Configuration / Consultation

Throughout the process of design and integration we will provide consultation and advise about best practices and the different options that you have regarding taxes, shipping setup, payment methods/gateway, category organization, product images, etc.

8. Final Site Testing

The site is thoroughly tested. You’ll have another chance to review everything for any minor changes or corrections and Studio57Designs.com tests the pages on all major browsers, on different platforms, and at different browser window sizes and resolution settings, correcting any remaining errors.

9. Are We Done Now?

Yes, technically! But, we are here to assist you in the future. Besides, who would know your site better than Studio 57 Designs and you?
